Save the Surrey 100 – campaign meeting
April 30, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Wonderful people work here. So why is Surrey cutting 100 jobs?
The university management has announced that they want to cut 100 jobs at Surrey.
These cuts are not necessary. Surrey is doing well in the league tables, is financially stable and does not have significant problems recruiting students.
Management says that the cuts will not affect students – but fewer staff means higher workloads and less time for staff to do their jobs, which means less time to give to students.
Find out more and get involved in the campaign to save the jobs threatened by the Operational Review. Come along to the open planning meeting on Thursday 30th April 1-2pm. Food will be provided. All staff and students welcome. You do not need to be a member of a union to attend.
There will be a representative from University of Sussex attending to tell us how they won their campaign against redundancies.
